Time Flying Faster

Saturday, March 17, 2012

Each day passes so fast. My uni days are coming to an end in a few months. Semester breaks are always somewhat 'short' to me. Weekends past even faster now that I am doing my internship. I know things are gonna be like this when I get a job in future. People as they grow older, they always wish to return to their childhood. Fortunately, I am showing no such symptoms. I love my life. I love how I lived my life until now. I never want to return to the past and certainly wish that I will not end up like others who always complain to me how nice it was back in the older days. It sounds so pathetic. As if they have nothing to look forward to.

Anyway, I just watched John Carter today in the cinema. A good watch. Something like Avatar + Star Wars.

Trick (1999)

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Just watched this movie few days ago. Although I personally find the movie having some scenes a bit weird, I like the story line and cute actors. Mark (JP Pitoc) is a Go-go boy and OMG is the word to describe him. Hot smokin body with a killer smile. I also like his ears, they look so monkey-ish. I have a thing for those type of ears, so cute!!! Then we have Gabriel (Christian Campbell) who looks so much like the younger Ryan Reynolds. Gorgeous eyes and abit of a nerdy look. And did I mention that I have a thing for nerdy looking guys as well.

There several scenes in the movie I like so much. The first was when Mark guided Gabriel's hand carressing his body. Then there was the part where they kiss of course. The ending feels really good unlike other typical gay movies where the main actors end with tradegy or full of sex scenes. Enough said... just watch it.

Sanctum

Went watch it with piko-chan last night. I think it was awesome. Lets see... First off, I like the characters. Josh in the movie is so lengzai. huhuhu! Then the story, trapped in a deep cave with a storm hitting. We can see the different sides of human when they are faced with life and death situation. Making tough decisions. Survival skills. Ego and principles. Trust. An unspoken love of a father.

On another note, my FYP presentation went well. Received some good comments. My supervisor was also satisfied with my performance. The night before I couldn't sleep at all. Rehearse few times before sleep. But keep dreaming of presentation stuff and waking up. Anyhow, still have to act energetic on that day. Damn relaxed after the presentation though. Yippie!!!

Hairy Potter

Thursday, December 2, 2010

I am not a fan of Hairy Potter. Really. I don't read the books, but I like the whole idea of magic and weird creatures in the movie. I have been watching all the episodes but this is the first time I went to watch it on the big screen. Thanks to dardar of course lol. Honestly, I like the first movie best, the sorcerer's stone. But the ones later are just mediocre. Half blood prince was the worst for me. Totally boring since I don't understand a thing they say. Total failure for that one. But the latest installment was surprisingly better in the sense that I was not bored by it. I also liked the part where they describe the deathly hollows using those animation. By ranking, the latest movie would be 3rd in my list after sorcerer's stone and chamber of secrets. The movie was quite good except I prefer Potter to be fully clothed. He is just so Hairy Potter you know? As for reading the books, I will wait till the last episode of the movie.

Note: I HATE people that reads the book and talks how bad the movie is because they cut it short but they still watch every episode of the movie on the first day screening.

A Malaysian made movie by Yasmin Ahmad. A love story of a Malay girl and a Chinese boy. 1 word could describe it, Good! I think everyone should watch it if they can. This movie was released few years ago though. You guys will probably have to download it somewhere. This movie is one of the few local movies that I actually like. The actor, Ng Choo Seong (Jason) and actress, Sharifah Amani (Orked) are so adorable. When I say they are cute they are REALLY cute! The sepet-ness of Jason just kills me. I would never put myself in his shoes though *crossed fingers*. I still love my roasted pork and char siew. The movie also depicts the real attitude of many Malaysian as well as issues that has been ongoing for years in our country. Quite bold I would say. Aside from that, the little mistakes that was not filtered out made this movie more realistic. Don't you feel weird when every sentence is perfectly uttered?

You Again Movie Review

Adorable James Wolk & Odette Yustman

The movie depicts how school life is for some of us. It also tells of how the experiences makes us to be who we are today. Everyone goes true different stuff in their life. Some being the bullies and some being the ones that always get picked on. Some always shine in the spotlight while others just being the background. You know how some people always tend to be the ones in the middle of the picture. The famous one that everyone wants to stand with. I am never that person. Always being by the side of pictures is me. But things took a change when I entered uni. People notice me. As much as I dislike my coursemates, they aren't that bad. I reevaluated my friends from high school and sad to say, I find some of them too fake. Some of them say they care about me when they actually never even get to know me. Some old friends suddenly turned cold for whatever reason they have.

 Sean Wing is so CUTE!!!

In the movie, Kristen Bell had a shock of her life when she discovers that her arch nemesis was going to marry his brother, James Wolk. Dwelling in her miserable past, she did everything possible to prevent Odette Yustman (The Bully) from marrying her brother. But of course in the end she forgives her for what was already in the past. This is what I like about the movie, it tells us that no matter what wrong doings a person might have did to us in the past we should always give them a second chance. People can change. Carrying a bag of hatred can be really tiring. Taking revenge might backfire and makes things worse.

Jamie Lee Curtis & Sigourney Weaver (also rivals in the movie)

If you are looking for some movie to just laugh it all out, this is a good one. The 2 guys are really cute too. Hehehe...

Unexpected

Wednesday, November 3, 2010

My finals started yesterday. It was okay I guess. After the paper, Pat and I went for a movie at The Mines TGV. Pathetic! The cinema only had 4 movies on that day. Out of the 4 movies, 2 were local production. Since Pat had watched Sammy the Turtle, we opted for The Other Guys. Nice movie. Made me laughed the whole time. Wanna know more? Watch it yourself... Pat and I had a little talk too. Apparently, he didn't expect 'us' to last until now. He thought we would have broke off in half a year time. I asked why and he replied that I am someone that would get bored at something real quick. I guess there are many things that don't always follow our expectations. I also didn't expect the movie to be so funny. hehehe...

Ip Man 2 movie review

Sunday, May 9, 2010

Just wow! I really didn't expect the sequel of the first movie to be this good. It was even better than the first!  This time around, they even threw in a touch of comedy and laughter. It really helped to lighten the whole movie. The fighting scenes were really good.  As always, Donnie Yen is fast and furious. With the introduction of Sammo Hung as an equal to Donnie Yen's character really made things more interesting. I was a little skeptical  at first  that the old and fat Sammo Hung wouldn't be able to pull off such a feat. Sammo also being the action director as well really did a job well done.

It wasn't all about fights. Through Ip Man, Donnie Yen teaches about the values and quality of martial arts and together with Sammo Hung they try to convey the importance of mutual respect and integrity. With the appearance of Huang Xiao Ming as the first disciple of Ip Man gave a reason to many girls and PLUs alike to watch the movie. He is such a hottie. I didn't really know who he was until the end of the movie. I overheard several girls talking about him being the little monk that was a real hit last time. Those Shaolin kung fu movies where there was two little monks that fights evil. According to those girls, Huang Xiao Ming was the skinny little monk back then as the other was more plump. A must see movie. Just too good to miss out such a good movie.

I Am Back!

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

LOL! I have been missing from the blogosphere for some time now due to the amazing end of 2009 as well as the brand new air of 2010. To start things off, Happy New Year! yea yea... I know it's kinda late but remember, Better Late Than Never! hahaha!

30th Dec 2009, met up with you-know-who and watched Sherlock Holmes at Sunway Pyramid. My first time there! Yippie! I felt that the deco there was actually better in comparison to Mid Valley and Pavillion. Lots of glitters hagging everywhere. Raindeers and snowmans on the outside looks realy cute too!

The movie was fantastic. No need to elaborate much, it's a movie well worth watching. See it for yourself! Watson in the movie looked really appetizing! kekeke! oppsss... You agreed too Dear... hahaha!

On the way back, we stop by at PappaRich(Is this how to spell it?). Anyway, it was my 1st time there! Yippie! Yala yala, I am a country boy caged in a city =.="

The next day the 31st will be on the next post! Chiao! back to reports and assignments :p

~The Great Detective~

Double Movie

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Yesterday I went to watch 2 movies in MV. The 1st was Raging Phoenix, a thai action movie with lots of fight scenes. OMG! So damn cool! Their fight is like dancing! So smooth and fast. If you think Jackie Chan and Jet Li is good. I can tell you they are way better. Totally blew me away with their cool moves. Comparable to OngBak but this is slightly better. As for the storyline, is just so so... Nonetheless, one of the best action-packed movie I have ever watched.

2 hours later I lined up again to see what other movies are available. And to my surprise there was a cute guy at one of the counters. In my heart was going, "Please let me go to his counter! Please! Ring the bell! Me! Me! Me!" As if fated that we will meet. He quickly finished of the current customer and rang the bell. I took my time walking slowly towards him. And waited for him to greet me. Gosh! His eyes could have killed me! They were sending strong currents to my heart. Its pumping faster than normal. I can feel every pulse of it.

I asked for tickets for 2012 at 5.15 pm and was damn lucky as there were 2 more seats at the back available. phew! I forgot to present my student card on purpose~ LOL! "sir, next time whenever you go to any cinema, please present your student card 1st", he said that with a smile I swear I could have faint! He iz not chinese(I think). He has that mixed Thai look. Sorry for the poor picture quality though =(

2012 was a good watch. Made me laugh for the early parts of the movie. LOL! The whole cinema was so quiet. Breaking the silence was my extremely loud laugh and I thought it was a comedy. To my surprise, no one laughed along =.=" Why is everyone so serious. Perhaps they don't get the joke~

A few parts of the movie did manage to touch me. The sensitive and emotional side of Bear came out and tears was feeling my eyes for a fraction of a moment. LOL! Those part when they show ppl dying and all... But the tears only stayed in my eyes. Too little to roll down my cheek. LOL! Overall, a not to be missed show of the year. I have been leaving comments in other blogs regarding the way I wanna die if the world comes to an end. That is to have sex on that day! hahaha! I don't wanna die a virgin yea :p

p.s: I went to the movies ALONE! hu wanna be my bf? :p

~Is my student card applicable to a dinner for 2 of us?LOL~

Prayers For Bobby

Friday, November 13, 2009

Has been 2 days since the finals ended. What have I been doing? Online 24 7... Nah, just kiddin'... But I have been sleepin' and eatin' alot these 2 days.
Just like this mornin', 2 half-boiled eggs with Gardenia bread.
Afternoon, white rice with home-cooked bean sprouts and eggs fried with onions.
Tea time, A cuppa tea and 2 self prepared ham sandwiches with lotsa mayo and chilly sauce.
Dinner, horfun + bihun with soup packed from a local hawker. Something wrong here, eat way too many eggs...

Besides sleepin', did the dishes, laundry, mail a letter for mum, and ugh... ONLINE most of da time =) What I do online you may ask... I watched 2 movies today! one of it being Prayers for Bobby under the recommendation of Green once again. The other would be The Matthew Shepard Story. Hmm... I liked Prayers for Bobby. And I am not afraid to admit that I cried a couple of times. It's a true story based on a real life experience. Throughout the movie, I wasn't mad at Bobby's mum cos I know all she wants is to set her family on the right path. The sad part is she doesn't realize that her ignorance and unwillingness to understand his gay son is what that has caused so much pain to her son. I guess this movie also clearly shows what people are nowadays. They choose ignorance and when they lost the person they love only that they would learn to accept and treasure. Sad indeed.

Is it too late when we lose someone only we realize of our mistake?
I don't think so. Certainly its painful. It won't be easy to overcome the losses. But it's also from these mistakes that we better ourselves. I believe its never too late for anything because its always better to be late than never. Agree? I really hope that everyone out there be it straight or queer would take some time to watch this movie. Treasure the ones you love and try to understand each other.

The Love of Siam

Saturday, September 26, 2009

Call me outdated. But its always better to be late than never! This movie captivated my heart. A story about love, friendship and family. Mario Maurer as Tong and Witwisit Hiranyawongkul as Mew are neighbours at the start in this story.

Tong and Mew became best friends. Tong got a Christmas present for Mew which is a wooden doll that is comprised of a few components. Tong made it a treasure hunt for Mew to get his present. But the last piece of the doll(the nose) was hidden on a tree and it got lost cos the tree got chopped off. After the lost of Tong's sister, Tang, their family decided to move. The 2 had to be separated(cried the 1st time).
After years had passed, the 2 were reunited. Mew, talented in music finds inspiration to write love songs through Tong. As for Tong, he has a girlfriend named Donut(yeah... wad a weird name) but he don't really have any feelings for her.
1 night, Tong's mother saw Tong kissing with Mew in the backyard of their home. And also due to the incident where Tong went to overnight at Mew's place worried her more. She confronted Mew and asked him to let go Tong(damn... i cried again).
After that, Mew avoided Tong. He even doesn't want to sing anymore for his band cos he no longer has the 'feel' to sing. But on Christmas, Mew agreed to give it a try and sing at Siam Square. Tong meets Donut and officially broke up with her! He rushed to the square to see Mew's performance.
After the performance, Tong went to see Mew.

Tong: The music was great.
Mew: Do you have anything to say after listening to it?
Tong: Umm... I can't be with you as your boyfriend. But that doesn't mean that I don't love you.
Mew: Thank you. (Mew smiled)
(Oh, here it started flowing again) T.T

Tong passed the last piece of the doll to Mew as his Christmas present. At the end of the movie, Mew placed the last piece on the wooden doll and said thank you. He then cried quietly(i cried again).

Watching this movie made me think of 'him'. The past we had. The times we spent together. I could somehow relate to Mew's loneliness. Things just got worse when 'he' called me out for lunch. I just kept thinking about all the stuff. Gosh...

During dinner, I didn't have much appetite. My tears rolling... thinking of the movie. Flashbacks of the moments we were together. I don't want my mum to know of this love. Afraid that she couldn't accept it and would emotionally breakdown. My mum was there in the kitchen and she saw me. I couldn't control myself. The fear was so great that my tears kept rolling.

Mum: What happen? Did anyone bully you?
Bern: No... nothing...
Mum: Then why you crying? Just tell me.
Bern: Nothing... I... It just that... I don't think I like girls.
Mum: Don't think too much. You are still young.
Bern: No. I don't like girls not cos no girl like me. But its cos...
Mum: Boy, don't think too much. You are still young. Just concentrate on your study. Don't think about it.

Mum walk off to her room. I continued eating my dinner. I wonder if she understood that I wanted to tell her that I like guys. Such a crybaby I am. Cry so much...

Shelter

Friday, September 25, 2009

I got to know about this movie, Shelter from Greensew. Thanks =) It is a touching movie about Zach (Trevor Wright) who sacrifices his dream of going to art school to support his ill father (Don Margolin), sister (Tina Holmes) and her young son, Cody(Jackson Wurth) . He finds happiness in surfing. But when he falls for Gabe's older brother, Shaun (Brad Rowe), his world is turned upside down. Zach struggles to learn how to put his own needs first before the demands of his family.

Don't worry, its not porn. Owh... I like this movie so much. Really sweet~ Don't miss it.
