I Love You

Monday, February 28, 2011

25th of February. Last friday at 8.25pm was the time I received a message from my mum. I was at Alamanda Putrajaya after watching Sanctum. I thought she was gonna ask me if I wanna go back home this weekend. Apparently not. It was an MMS written "I Love You". She had never said those words. Never wrote them. For a moment I was speechless. I never felt happier in my life. I had a feeling of belonging. An urge to go home and spend time with her. I know she is happy when I am home. Having me to talk to. I just wish I have the same courage to say those words to you. Mum, I Love You.

Reconnecting

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Friends come and go. At least that was when I was still studying. There is one particular guy that first taught me how to play digimon on ps1. I would go over to his home and play together. Sometimes he would come to mine. We were about 11 years old back then. It all started with games only. Then, I slowly developed interest in him. I was curious to check out his weener back then. I would try to spy on him when he goes to the toilet. Didn't manage to see it, but I did manage to grab it once! That was when I won him in the digimon battle. hehehe...

Last time before I go to bed, I would be thinking of him. Think of how nice the next day would be if I get to meet him again. At that time I really felt that he was lengzai. No other sexual thoughts though. I didn't even know what was frenching until form 3. But one thing is confirmed, I was interested in 'bananas' only even at that stage.

I have forgotten that he was actually the first guy that I started showing signs of attraction towards the same gender until we recently reconnected each other on FB. Memories... Besides him, I have got 2 other friends on my FB list that I lost contact after we left primary school and only recently found each other. All thanks to FB ^__^

First Post of 2011

Saturday, January 1, 2011

2011 is here. A new year and a new sem is starting for me. I will be starting my final year project soon. So troublesome but it has to be done.

New years and Christmas celebration has been peaceful for me. I don't like the crowd anyway. A simple and satisfying dinner with piko-chan.

Oh, I did an experiment that started 1month ago. I changed my burst date to 31st of December on facebook. Funny thing is, people that celebrated my burstday with me in 2009 also wished me. My burstday is on the lovely month of May. Nearly a hundred wished me and only 6 person knew it wasn't my burstday. I am totally not shocked by the number because I wanted to see how many people would actually wish me twice a year. It was also to test how many people fully rely on facebook to keep track of things. For me, I personally prefer my handphone to register burstdays. Maybe I am outdated but I think my handphone is much trustier. I know a few of my friends also register fake birthdays for their own reasons.

Slippery Anniversary + Yen Shabu Shabu

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Shoe size 43. What a slippery experience. My first time ice-skating. OMG. I fell a few times. So damn embarrassing. Dardar legs were hurting so he didn't skate. Took me about 20minutes to get rid of the fear of falling. Quite similar to swimming, just need to eliminate the fear of drowning and voila! I managed to skate slowly without support rounding and rounding the ring (so proud of myself LOL)! I have been to Sunway Pyramid a few times and I always notice cuties or lengzai skating there. The thing is, they are not just there for looks. They can really skate. They glide here and there, so pro... a couple times they just chill in front of me XD... So wasted, there was once I fell and got one cute guy wanna help me get up but I was too shy so I got up on my own. Haiz... should have taken the opportunity. hehehe... anniversary

Then we had our dinner @ Yen Shabu Shabu in Menjalara. Their pork slice and mutton slice were really good. They have free flow of drinks(my fav iced lemon tea) and not so common ice-cream selection (tiramisu, durian, grape). Their sauce are good too, especially the chicken rice chili sauce, tomyam sauce and sweet sour chili sauce. On mondays to thursdays they have special dish called Sha-Tien gai. A must try if you are there on any of those days. Their pumpkin puff side dish is also worth trying!

Unfading Love

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

I was with J a couple of days ago and he hit me with a question. He asked me if my love for dardar was fading away. What he meant was that if our love have turned into a norm. Something that we do daily and no longer have the passion and infatuation we first started. The odd thing is, it took me some time to actually fall in love with him. Yes, it was not love at first sight. We were together and I wasn't in love with him from the start. Through the ups and down of our time together, I developed feelings for him. It struck me that I am in love with him when things went downhill and he suggested that we breakup. I guess there are times when I do take things for granted. That night I cried for quite some time. Hundreds of questions ran through my mind. It was only then I started to question if my feelings were real. I recall the things I have wanted to do with him but it all seems too late. From that moment on, I knew that my love for him is real. I am in love with him and I love him. And to answer J, I love him more and more everyday. I remember that I once told dardar, love is like a seed. We don't just plant it, we need to feed it with water and nutrients. It grows from care and commitment. Blossoming into a year old, it is only now that I truly understand what I once told him.

Spare Me Tyre

Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Last week, I had to skip japanese lesson coz the tyre finally gave in. My first experience changing tyre with dardar. I wanted to help but dardar won't let me touch coz he say it's dirty. awww... Very lucky that we had shelter and not under the hot afternoon blaze. I was also lucky enough to get to see the whole process. Definitely less panicky if it ever happens to me.

When two become one

Monday, October 18, 2010

Have you guys ever seen 2 bananas in 1 peel? I took this picture from the UPM convo bazaar. It's not a production of photoshop. People comes in pairs. Some animals too. We were taught in school that a couple should consist of male and female. But I guess this picture somehow proves that 2 gays bananas can really be together. But then again, I wonder if I might see 3 happily together.

Kuala Terengganu: Turtle Extinction Plan

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Several nights were spent in Kuala Terengganu after Redang and before heading back for KL. The host was kind enough to show us around the town. He brought us to the quite famous Crystal Mosque. Then we had a beach walk at night near the KT hospital. Other places are not worth mentioning. But we did savour the local delicacies they had to offer such as nasi dagang, mi sup and keropok lekor. The host even prepared BBQ on one of the nights. He practically invited the whole kampung. I was stunned seeing the amount of people pouring into his double-storey house. That night we watched the world cup while munching on the satay, hot-dogs and fried noodle.

While the host was busy with his work, he dropped us at the town. We manage to get our asses to several locations such as the chinese street, Masjid Raja Putih and the market. We took our time doing some souvenir shopping at the market place. I was actually fascinated by the varieties of never-before-seen stuff such as turtle eggs! My first time seeing one. I am not happy about it though. Talk about wildlife conservation and protection. The locals at Terengganu told me that there are not much turtles that return to lay eggs anymore. The reason is clear... they harvest the eggs and sell them. The Malay girls that traveled with me actually thought of buying them. I was like WTF! As for shopping there, I advise that any non-malays should have malay friends traveling with them to get good discounts. I would have enjoyed the trip more if it was not for the sunburn. Skin was peeling off from all over my face to my shoulder! Ouch!

Pulau Redang: Malaysian Paradise

Friday, August 20, 2010

I spent the night before in a not so traditional Malay kampung. The host were really generous, we had a taste of the few durian kampung before we head out. Heavenly! To top that off, the malay siblings are really cute! I like it when guys are topless walking around the house. kekeke...

The sky was clear on the day we departed for one of the most beautiful island beach that Malaysia had to offer. Her name was Redang. The boat ride was one to remember. I sat at the head of the boat. I feel the ocean breeze. The late morning ray beaming on my skin. Nature at its best. Sitting right there on the front most made me feel as if I am the captain of the boat. Just like Luffy in One Piece.

Approximately 45 minutes later, we arrived at the beach with crystal clear water. I really couldn't believe my eyes at that moment. It was just breathtaking. For my entire life I have only seen such scenery in documentations or pictures. The waters were clear blue-green with the sand on the beach seemed bleached to white perfection. It was no 5 star accommodation. Only small little chalets with a tinge of melayu-ness. It was quiet. No hunky beach boys. No speedo-man sun tanning on the beach. No annoying kids releasing their load of youth on the beach. Just peaceful, serene and almost deserted. Good for those that wants a break from the constant noise pollution that the city offers.

Days here was spent snorkeling and sleeping. I love to sleep on those comfy bed. This was also my first time snorkeling. I do know how to swim but the sight of the really deep sea actually did sent chills down me spines. I was hoping to see some sharks but at the same time I don't wanna be in the water with them. LOL! I don't wanna lose any part of my body =.="

Having that said, I still entered the water. Lots of beautiful fish. All attracted by the bread crumbs that divers threw into the water. When there was no more bread, the fish started nibbling on my feet and arms. I became fish food! The ocean floor was filled with tons of sea cucumber and corals. But the corals are sad to say DEAD.  Spot no sea turtle. No a sight of any sharks. Sigh. Kinda disappointed.

Snorkeling on its own is really different from swimming. A lot more easier I would say. 1 thing though, I don't understand why people only swim 10 metres around the boat for 2 freakin hours. What is there to see in that same spot?!

The Footprints of Brave Bear: 1 year old

Thursday, August 5, 2010

It has been a year since I have started blogging here in blogspot. Things have changed alot then when I first started blogging. I caught myself a salmon through this blog. Met plenty of other bloggers that are all unique in their very own way. Even had an encounter with a reader non-blogger that turn out as an 'experiment'. I first started blogging with support from several friends of mine which I am unsure if they are still following my blog or not. But I still have to thank JY, WH and LL for their encouragements and comments. To all readers, followers, and supporters thank you too for being here, regardless you are a silent follower or loud ones that likes to comment.

As for my lack of updates, there has been many things happening in my life that I find myself too tired to update the blog. You may call me lazy or whatever but I will still find the time to keep this blog alive, so bare with me awhile. Several posts are delayed for now due to many photos still not in my hands yet. Again, I sincerely thank you for joining me in my walk of life. As a token of appreciation~

P.S: This post was set to be posted on July 31 but somehow it didn't show up. Blogspot is to blame...

Atlantica Online: The Dawn of a New Hero

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Last night bear was playing MapleStory as usual hunting for the golden eggs dropped by golden pigs. Mind you, bear finished up his reports before playing the online game yea... It suddenly struck bear that both bear and salmon has been playing their own online game separately for 6 months plus. Bear have always wanted to play an online game with a partner. Someone that bear could always travel and complete missions with. It seems more fun that way. In the beginning bear thought of luring salmon into playing MapleStory but it didn't work. Bear wanted to try out too the game that got salmon so addicted. Hence he ask salmon to create a new account for em'. From there onwards, starts a new adventure for Bear.

Xenri Japanese Buffet

Friday, May 28, 2010

It was 23rd of May (means my birthday... understand~lah) when dardar and I left the house for KL. It was one of the other surprise that dardar secretly planned. This one was well kept, but I did guess what it was gonna be. This was an easy guess coz we have been talking about it ever since we were together. LOL! I have a pretty good nose for whatever my dardar plans to do. hehehe... Anyway, we headed for Menara Hap Seng. The place was awfully quiet. Not much people around. Lucky day for us I guess, we were served with some man-beef to fill our eyes first. A gwai lou though, I am sure many of my blog readers won't really know how to appreciate it. Hahaha!

Xenri only opens at 11.30 for the Japanese lunch buffet! As we entered, we were greeted by all the staff there. Everyone was gleaming with a smile. I was partially shocked with the interior design. Quite nice I would say. We savoured almost everything they had to offer. Well, all except for those cheap fruits & sushi. My 1st time trying raw oysters and it was disastrous. I almost puke the 1st time it went in. Urgh... Maybe it's not yet the time for me to enjoy such delicacy. As for what I have eaten I will leave it to the pictures to do the talk. The food is good, but may not really be all that good for the body.

Too many pictures... Maybe I will post them in facebook-lah~

Soon Soon Lye Salmon Noodle Review

Thursday, May 20, 2010

Last nights dinner was at this outlet in Puchong. Dardar and Bear had always passed by this restaurant whenever we stop by at the vegetarian for dinner. We ordered the salmon fish head noodle & salmon neck and belly noodle. The price range is within RM7.50 to RM17.00. Affordable. This restaurant was also featured by 988 radio channel. Should be quite popular at least among the locals in Puchong. According to the bear's taste buds, nice to eat and just one thumbs up. Why? The taste is okay, but nothing to shout about. But perhaps it's because we ordered 2 of the most economical dish available. LOL! Anyway, it is HIGHLY recommended that if you somehow wanna try it out, order anything but the salmon fish head noodle. Don't be fooled by the Chef's recommendation by the side of the menu. Avoid them at all costs!!! Overall the food is not bad but just nothing amazing. Can give a go but I don't think you will be back for more.

My Little Angel

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

The bear got this plant from the nursery in Sg. Buloh during the past weekend. The nursery is located near the Sg. Buloh Hospital. There is a junction with a signboard Kampung Orang Asli Sg. Buloh where you turn in and there you will find lots of plant nursery. The bear have no experience or what-so-ever in taking care of plants. Wait, bear know how to water the plants. LOL. Dardar and bear didn't know the name of the plant. The purple flower actually looks like smaller version of orchids. Bear would have named it the 'Orchid Imitator' if he never found the plants name. But dardar heard that the florist at the nursery said that is a satay flower. HATE that name! Bear refuse to accept it! Therefore he went home to Google but to no avail. Dardar come across into a forum that discuss about flowers. Check out at flowers forum. Dardar then registered and posted it on the forum for answers. Two days later we got replies saying that it is a Angelonia. Some calls it Angelface or Summer Snapdragon. Cool name! Bear was so happy that it's not called satay flower >.<"

Bear also did some further reading on the plant. Apparently it loves the sunlight. Before that bear was afraid it would not tolerate the heat. They also mention that it gives out a certain apple or grape soda scent. Thanks to nose block bear couldn't smell anything. Aside from that, bear also planted 2 pots of chinese celery (also known as kint sai to most chinese consumers). They were bought from Tesco. Bear loves to eat chinese celery. It goes really well with steamed fish and Bak Kut Teh. Yummy! Caution to those that wanna get the seeds. Tesco sells them for a very expensive price. The nursery at Giants sells them at a cheaper price.

Kai Zen Japanese Lunch Set

Friday, April 16, 2010

So the bear was up for some Japanese food for lunch yesterday. Kai Zen Restaurant is located in Puchong, some where near dardar's home in Bandar Puteri. Lets start with the deco of the restaurant. The design is abit too 'modern' as the sofas were white and the lights were 'western-ish'. Bear would prefer the deco to be more traditional with sushi table and tatami mat. Anyhow, the restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The service ain't bad either but bear would be happier havin' more men around if you know what bear mean =p

The bear ordered set 3 that consist of a bowl of spicy soup ramen, 3 pieces of sushi, watermelon slice and a plate of tuna mayo.

As for the sushi, the fish slice was really thick and well made. You could just feel every inch of the meat in your mouth. The fish slice also sticks to the rice. As some of you may know, the proper method of dipping sushi into the sauce and wasabi is not to dip the rice into the sauce. This wouldn't be a problem if you were using your hands to take the sushi. The real problem is when using chopsticks as the fish slice tends to fall off. Bear's previous visit to Sushi King was disastrous. The salmon slice as well as other toppings fell off the rice instantly like they were never meant to be together. This isn't the case with Kai Zen's sushi. Thumbs up for the sushi!

If bear is not wrong, the tuna mayo is made from fresh fish or at least they don't use the canned ones. Canned tunas has this strong odour that is not really pleasing and that was not present in the tuna mayo that bear had. The dish would be better if the bones were removed thoroughly from the dish.

Then we have the spicy soup ramen. For starters, it ain't really that spicy. Just spicy enough. Bear reckon that most folks will be able to tolerate it. You know how noodle tend to stick and stay the same shape after long storage? The noodles were tangy and didn't have that feel sticky feeling. They also include a wide variety of vegetables in the dish mostly those with a more crunchy texture. For those that really cant stand spicy food may choose other lunch set as they have non spicy ones too. The pricing is affordable given the portion and taste of the food. The set lunch are only RM8.50++ non inclusive of the tax. Worth every penny!

Losing Ground

Monday, March 22, 2010

These days I have only been thinking about fun, fun and FUN! Despite having the second test and presentations going on, my focus was on Heroes, Facebook and Plant versus Zombies. Yeah, procrastination running circles in my head. An old habit of mine that never seem to disappear.

Justin Baldoni from Heroes

OMG. Is he not gorgeous? Catch him starring as Alex Woosley in Heroes season 3. Another favourite of mine would be Sylar a.k.a Zachary Quinto. This may sound weird but I also like Ando (James Kyson Lee). There there... How can I leave out Milo Ventimiglia as Peter Petrelli. Yummy~

During the afternoon, I went over to the Academic Department to collect my certificate for my 2nd semester's result. In the list from Agriculture Faculty, was just me and another guy. The Vice Chancellor list that is. Can't believe it, just the both of us. But I don't think I will ever be listed on the Vice Chancellor ever again. Dropping to Dean list now. Yups, blame it on my laziness.

Moments ago I received the marks for the biostatistics paper and I was stunned for a moment. I knew i wouldn't be doing as good as the first paper but to do that bad was really out of my plan. 78/100. I am almost losing grip of my A for this subject. Focus focus focus...

Aside from that my mind have been wandering alot lately. No, it's not a wet dream. But my very 1st dream having anal sex with someone. Gosh! Nope, I am not the bottom :p

Veronika Decides to Die

Thursday, March 18, 2010

It was one fine evening when the bear was scanning through the shelf of books that the salmon had in his house that he came across this book. The title itself is what caught the eyes of the bear. The bear was curious as to why the girl wanted to kill herself. Having read the synopsis of the book from the back cover, he decides to have a go at the book. You see, the bear isn't much of a book reader. Most of the reading materials are mainly for study purposes.

The book was about this young girl named Veronika who decides to kill herself. Her reason was she has seen enough of what life had to offer. It's an endless cycle that repeats itself day after day. After the attempt on her life, she regained concious in a mental hospital. She was told that she only had about a week to live since the overdose of sleeping pills has caused irreversible damage to her heart. All Veronika wanted at first was to end her life as soon as possible.

But while she was in the hospital, she found out that there were those in the hospital that are pretending to be crazy. These are the people that does not want to deal with the problems of the world outside. Everyday Veronika grew weaker. In the face of death, Veronika found a new flame to live. Given the limited amount of days to live, she knows that she had nothing to lose. She found courage to do things that she had never thought of doing. Things that are way too radical for most people to do. Things that are deemed to be not what normal people would do. Breaking from the norm, she found her true desires. Fear was never again an issue for her.

The other inmates of the mental institute was also affected by the young women. Having witness how this young girl that fought her days there, they came to rethink about their stay in Villete (the hospital). Through Veronika, the others too began to have the will to live. The will to break free and do what they have always wanted to do.

Death makes us realize what it means to live. Imagine this, if you one day found out that you only have days to live, what would you do? Does all the fame and glory that you seek means anything to you? Does the money you have means anything to you? Does your dignity, reputation and social status still have any importance to you? Does it matter what others think about you? And why only in the eyes of death that we realize this? Wouldn't it be too late?

The bear has said it and will say it again. In doing what we need to do, we must also do what we want to do. Finding a balance between both is always important. Think of what you really need. Is it not just food, water, and shelter to live? Often times we tend to mix up what we need and what we want. Choices are always given. They may not appear right before our eyes. But seek for it. Ask and you shall receive.

Fear has always been what's stopping us from doing things that we want. Like how we want to climb a tree to pick a fruit. We have been taught that it's dangerous. By instilling fear that we might fall and injure ourselves we dare not climb to get the fruit. You may say that there are safer ways to get them but that is what makes it different. The choice we make and the road we take. In the end we get the fruit but the thrill and excitement by climbing the tree has been lost. Remember what matters is not really the destination but it is the journey that counts.

Fear is what places us in a box. A box named as safety zone. A sense of security and being safe. A place where normal people wants and does the same things. A place where they reject what is absurd and abnormal. A place where those of the minority are called as abomination and madmen. Fear is what trapping us from the true desires of the heart. Ask yourself when was the last time you did something that you really desire regardless of what others may think or judge.

23 Footprints of Brave Bear

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Bear got tagged by the pooh A.K.A Mark. So bear with me. The post is gonna be quite a long one.

1. The number one fact that everyone MUST know about bear is that he loves his mother most! No matter what mama bear says or do, bravebear will love mama bear. Even as bravebear might complain about mama bear, deep in his heart he knows he loves mama bear like no other. No one can replace her.

2. Contrary to popular believes, bravebear is the eldest of a sibling of 3. The bear is often times mistaken to be the youngest due to his carefree behaviour.

3. Red was once a colour that the bear despise cos it was bright and attractive. But J has shown bear that it is a very wonderful colour. Bear now holds on to this colour for it makes bear happy seeing this colour. Always bright, cheerful and attractive.

4. Despite the bear looks small in size, he can actually eat mountains of food. Please restrain from taking him out to buffets.

5. Bear can munch on mangoes everyday if given if the supply at home is plentiful. His favourite fruit to date.

6. The first gay movie that bear watched was Shelter. Followed by Love of Siam that etched its way to the heart of bear. He cried for days and was emotionally unstable because of that movie.

7. Bear confessed his sexuality to his mum on the day after he watched the Love of Siam. A dinner filled with emotions.

8. The bear idolizes no one but himself. Despite the many flaws of bear, he never looked down on himself because he loves himself for who he is today.

9. How the blog title came about. Bernard means as brave as a bear. Bears leaves pawprints but it didn't sound nice so footprints was used.

10. The bear was once really atheletic. Won 3 gold medals (4x 400m , 800m, 1500m) and a silver medal (400m) during his form 1 sports day.

11. Ever heard of Kung-Fu Panda. The bear is a blackbelt holder in Taekwondo and has joined several sparring competitions with medals of gold, silver and bronze.

12. The bear is an avid reader of several manga series. Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Sailormoon, Doreamon, Crayon Shin Chan, Bleach, Detective Conan and Defense Devil. It all started from Doraemon where the bear borrowed from his kindergarten tuition teacher. But Naruto has remained at the top spot of all.

13. Bear repeated Final Fantasy on his game console for uncountable times. His favourite up to now would be Final Fantasy 7 and 8. Squall, Cloud and Vincent, a hot threesome perhaps?

14. No pies tastes like apple pie. Unless they have mango pies! Yummy!

15. Like all bear, honey is a delicacy that no bear could resist. Pooh loves it doesn't he.

16. Bear has a scar on the back of his right thigh. Bear sat on the kitchen top one day. Without realizing that the drawer was opened he jumped off and his thigh was scrapped by the edge of the drawer.

17. The bear lived without internet access at home till the age of 18 years old.

18. The first porn that he only took a short glimpse was when J showed him. Straight japanese porn. About 2 minutes if my memory serves me right.

19. When eating prawns, Bear prefers them to be totally unshelled. He dislikes removing the cumbersome shells on his own.

20. Blueberry cheesecake from UPM bakery tastes heavenly. It tastes so much like the ones from Secret Recipe. yum yum~

21. Naughty naughty bear. He 'took' money from mama bear's handbag sneakily whenever mama bear is not around until he got caught one day. From that day onwards he never steal from mama bear :p

22. The bear is crazy about Heroes, a TV series full of super power. He hopes to one day able to control time and space as he likes just like Hiro Nakamura.

23rd of May. Remember this date well. The bear expects birthday presents ^__^
