J: The Romantic Bastard

Thursday, December 23, 2010

I have been missing for a few days. Reason is that I had trip to Ipoh for the very first time. All thanks to request from J. We were there to act as extras for a local tv series, Rantau Harimau. The setting was taken in a waterfall area in Tapah. The place is pretty cool, flowing river, hot spring and lots of butterflies to watch. If lucky there may even be fireflies at night. I didn't get the chance to explore Ipoh cause I wasn't there for a vacation. But the nice part of the whole acting thing is that I got to meet lots of different people. Some were 1st timers like me, some were seasoned actors, soldiers as well as some part timers. They also look gorgeous! Imagine hunky Malay soldiers walking topless in the scenes and cute chinese Ipoh twinks all over the sets. hohoho...
That aside, I was actually quite frustrated with J. Not because he gave all his attention to pleasing his gf but because of the constant teasing. I was being made the teasing subject almost all the time and I don't like it. I admit I am a little short temper and I blame it on not just myself, but also the exhaustion, insect bites and lack of sleep. And when I am pissed off, it totally shows on my face. I never understood why I always try to help this bastard whenever he asks for help. It was when he showed his concern, I realized that he wasn't just any other friend that I have. He is more. I never wanted to admit it but he is my best friend along with pat, WH and a few others.

They are the people that I can talk to about anything. They won't give me the weird stare or too much info thingy. The whole trip made me realized that I still have a life with my buddies. One of the funniest thing was when he said our friendship until was based on his persistence. True, he never gave up on it. When he told me he remembers how he consistently asked my name and I just ignored him, if he gave up then we would never have been friends till now. It made me chuckle. I teared. I didn't know he would recall. He apologized and asked why I was unhappy.
When he said he didn't want to lose his best friend just because he wanted to make others laugh, I lost my words. Things he said that night was what I longed to hear. For me to confirm that I wasn't just a tool or nobody in his life. Damn it, I had the biggest cheek shower this year that night. I know a female best friend of a queer would be a fag hag but what about guys that are best friends of a gay dude? Dardar pointed out that it's abnormal to have ex to be best friends, is it?

Year End Trip

Dardar and I have been talking about traveling. First choice, Bangkok. I so wanna go meet Witwisit and Mario there. They are so cute! Christmas over there will be so fun. The other options are Bali and Hong Kong. These choices are within my affordability but they will squeeze dry my savings and PTPTN. I think dardar got headache ady cos I keep saying that it's expensive. LOL! Dardar suggested Singapore that have no interest at all. To me, Singapore is just a bigger, cleaner and more eye candy version of Kuala Lumpur. How how how??? I have never been out of Malaysia before.

Kuala Terengganu: Turtle Extinction Plan

Saturday, August 28, 2010

Several nights were spent in Kuala Terengganu after Redang and before heading back for KL. The host was kind enough to show us around the town. He brought us to the quite famous Crystal Mosque. Then we had a beach walk at night near the KT hospital. Other places are not worth mentioning. But we did savour the local delicacies they had to offer such as nasi dagang, mi sup and keropok lekor. The host even prepared BBQ on one of the nights. He practically invited the whole kampung. I was stunned seeing the amount of people pouring into his double-storey house. That night we watched the world cup while munching on the satay, hot-dogs and fried noodle.

While the host was busy with his work, he dropped us at the town. We manage to get our asses to several locations such as the chinese street, Masjid Raja Putih and the market. We took our time doing some souvenir shopping at the market place. I was actually fascinated by the varieties of never-before-seen stuff such as turtle eggs! My first time seeing one. I am not happy about it though. Talk about wildlife conservation and protection. The locals at Terengganu told me that there are not much turtles that return to lay eggs anymore. The reason is clear... they harvest the eggs and sell them. The Malay girls that traveled with me actually thought of buying them. I was like WTF! As for shopping there, I advise that any non-malays should have malay friends traveling with them to get good discounts. I would have enjoyed the trip more if it was not for the sunburn. Skin was peeling off from all over my face to my shoulder! Ouch!

Pulau Redang: Malaysian Paradise

Friday, August 20, 2010

I spent the night before in a not so traditional Malay kampung. The host were really generous, we had a taste of the few durian kampung before we head out. Heavenly! To top that off, the malay siblings are really cute! I like it when guys are topless walking around the house. kekeke...

The sky was clear on the day we departed for one of the most beautiful island beach that Malaysia had to offer. Her name was Redang. The boat ride was one to remember. I sat at the head of the boat. I feel the ocean breeze. The late morning ray beaming on my skin. Nature at its best. Sitting right there on the front most made me feel as if I am the captain of the boat. Just like Luffy in One Piece.

Approximately 45 minutes later, we arrived at the beach with crystal clear water. I really couldn't believe my eyes at that moment. It was just breathtaking. For my entire life I have only seen such scenery in documentations or pictures. The waters were clear blue-green with the sand on the beach seemed bleached to white perfection. It was no 5 star accommodation. Only small little chalets with a tinge of melayu-ness. It was quiet. No hunky beach boys. No speedo-man sun tanning on the beach. No annoying kids releasing their load of youth on the beach. Just peaceful, serene and almost deserted. Good for those that wants a break from the constant noise pollution that the city offers.

Days here was spent snorkeling and sleeping. I love to sleep on those comfy bed. This was also my first time snorkeling. I do know how to swim but the sight of the really deep sea actually did sent chills down me spines. I was hoping to see some sharks but at the same time I don't wanna be in the water with them. LOL! I don't wanna lose any part of my body =.="

Having that said, I still entered the water. Lots of beautiful fish. All attracted by the bread crumbs that divers threw into the water. When there was no more bread, the fish started nibbling on my feet and arms. I became fish food! The ocean floor was filled with tons of sea cucumber and corals. But the corals are sad to say DEAD.  Spot no sea turtle. No a sight of any sharks. Sigh. Kinda disappointed.

Snorkeling on its own is really different from swimming. A lot more easier I would say. 1 thing though, I don't understand why people only swim 10 metres around the boat for 2 freakin hours. What is there to see in that same spot?!

Pre-Valentines Celebration

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Feb 11 night, dardar and I watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief at IOI mall. Honestly, I think it was just okay okay lah~ But the GSC in in IOI mall is really nice. Not many people. Huge space for the legs.

Feb 12 morning, P and I headed up to Genting. Needless to say, most couples would go for the rides and we were no exception. After a short lunch break, we head for the theme park. I officially ban the ship ride! Almost vomited my lunch from that single ride. The others were okay. As we were queuing up for the rides, there was so much to laugh about because so many things happened.

We imitated the Hong Kong cantonese accent when we saw 2 kids speaking to their mum cos Mr.P pointed out their accent. Then we saw a lady in a very tight T. She forgot her bra? Her nipples were pointing out and it was SO obvious. Then I looked at dardar, seducing him by happily fondling my nipples and told him,"My nipples are pointy too". LOL!

While waiting in line, a group of teens camwhored like crazy. One of them was super gay! They hugged and leaned on each other like they were magnets. Me being 38, took dardar's arm and laid my head on his shoulder :p

Upon entering Starbucks, I was greeted by 3 of the staffs there. Me being one with the HUGE 'appetite' went for the cute chinese guy to ask him of their operating hours. It is natural okay!

Lengzais are roaming the highlands. The bear is on the lose?! Saw quite a handful of gay couples at the theme park too. There was one pair that caught my attention most. A twink with his beefy boyfriend.

Early dinner was at Vietnam House if I am not mistaken. Really good food I reckon. I had chicken curry with rice. Then supper was at Hainan Kitchen. The main course stewed lamb was really GOOD ^__^

Morning breakfast was crazy. Tons of people from all over the world. There was this chinese family that brought along plastic bags to tapau food. I wonder they came from which kampung. =.="

Appetizer: Green salad

Cameron: Rolling Down The Hills

Thursday, January 14, 2010

The breakfast on that morning was better I say. They had KokoCrunch! Yay!!! hmm... Had one bowl of that with milk. kekeke... At the breakfast table was a Japanese couple. According to them they were on a super-duper-long-holiday. If they are, they must be filthy rich!

Checked out of hotel after our breakfast and down the hills we go. On the way down we saw some parts of the hills covered by mist! Dear was so excited seeing the cloudy mist while William attempted to take a picture of it. We took a brief stop at the Avant Chocolate Factory. Upon entering the structure, I saw some well decorated chocolate cakes that looked so tempting! Gimme gimme, I wanna EAT!!! T_T

After some sightseeing(there was a live turkey there and OMG it was sooooo ugly!) we continued rolling down the hill. Lunch break was at Bidor's infamous Pun Chun. Had some bad memories of ill tasting wanton noodles in the past but hey, let bygones be bygones. Lunch was herbal duck thigh noodles. OMG, the duck tasted so good! As for the noodles... =.=" A Sad Case.

I spent the weekend at dear's place and we had a masak-masak session on Sunday evening. Dear was the cook while I helped out with just preparing some of the ingredients. The spaghetti and herbal chicken soup was really good =)

The night before I return to UPM, dear and I took a stroll outside. We were in luck that day as we make our way back home dear spotted a tiny green glowing thing! I shouted AHHHH!!! Firefly!!! hahahaha... I was so happy. Never thought we would be able to see a seriously declining species roaming just in front of dear's apartment. What an end to my New Year holidays. Yippie!!!

Cameron: Honey Moments

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Last to get out of bed was me. kekeke! Did I not mention that I like to hide under the blanket! And so we had our breakfast after everyone was ready. Nasi lemak was the only option for me because the fried vermicelli looks terrible and the awfully strong stench of fried koew teow in the morning could send me to the toilets. I also took a bowl of cornflakes cereal and milk. YUMMY! bleks! I never try that before mah!

Then we head out to some Agrotourism Farm not far away from our hotel. Nothing really amazing there but I would really like to pluck those grapes dangling above the walkway. The strawberries are yet to ripe and there wasnt much to see there except for thier beautiful bloom of flowers. The koi fish in one of their water feature was especially tame. I placed my hand into the water and gently caressed the fish without startling them. It's not really the scenery that captivates me. But being able to spend time with someone that I love is what counts to me.

Water Cress Farm was our next stop. I spotted another pond of koi fish. It seems to me that the farmers here really adore koi hmmm... Peaceful and serene is what I can describe this place. The water cress are planted in the most simplest way. Tiny snails in crystal clear cooling water made my hands itch and I just had to disturb them. kekeke...

After our lunch there, we continued on to the apiary. I was hoping for a guided tour but don't have lor. After a stroll around the area filled with flowers, dear and I got ourselves some herbal tea eggs. Aromatic and yummy! hehehe...

Next stop was Cactus Point. More flowers than cactus there and their cactus are no where near impressive. But I did enjoy the sweet potatoes bought by SK(or was it William... hmm...). The flowers became models to William and dear dear lorh... shucks... Not me =.="

Next we went to Strawberry Moment Cafe where we had our tea break. YIPPIE! Shared the blueberry strudel with dear and I had a cup of strawberry cappucino. Dinner time was at the Kowloon Hotel and it was steamboat again! hmm... The chilli sauce was really lousy. I would have dropped in a comment if there was a box for it. While the adults camwhored I cant help but to notice the Datuk was eyeing on me. Not too obvious but noticeable :p

Then dear and I took some time off from the party and we headed for the night market. It's more lively at that night I must reckon. We tried some honey freshly cut from the hive and it was amazingly sweet! We held hands all the way through the night market ignoring those pesky eyes of disbelievement. I spotted a cute chinese guy with a pink umbrella hanging on his bag. That twink has his eyes set on both of us and I am sure he wants a piece of both of us. LOL!

I totally forgot that dear has his bladder full. Hahaha! I suggested that we head for the nearby KFC but on our way there we came across the king of fruits! And so, dear had his relief by the nearby petrol station and indulged ourselves with some durians. Back at the room, the aromatic scent right from our very mouth exposed our dirty little act. After shower, it was lights out and we called it a night.

Cameron: The Last Day of 2009

Thursday, January 7, 2010

I woke up in his house without getting enough sleep due to certain activities being held. Memang tak tahan disentuh... LOL! yes, this is to get your imagination running :p

Went to pick up William and SK. 1st time trying luncheon meat with bread and it actually tasted good! hahaha! Thanks to SK for the breakfast =) Also first time meeting them and abit shy shy lu... kekeke... In time they will be able to see the more interactive me.

During the lunch, we were asked if we would want to try their fruit rojak(Malaysian fruit salad?). I wanted it! The sparkle in my eyes caught the attention of dear and he knows that I want it. LOL! In the end I thought rojak can eat anywhere and why wanna eat in Cameron =.="

Our first stop was at the Boh Tea Centre at sg Palas. OMG! That place is soooo beautiful! Didn't know such a place existed in Malaysia! LOL! hmmm hmmm... I would usually pick up the apple pie with my hands and shove it in my mouth lor... but but... since its a little crowded there I had to struggle with the fork... I know I know, I memang macam budak hutan...

After the guided tour on how they process the tea leaves. We made our way to the hotel. Yippie! I just like to lie down on the hotel beds and roll like a kid. Bleks! The steamboat that evening would be better if we were able to sit on the outside of the restaurant. For me it was still okay but dear was sweating all the way... so kesian hor... I personally like the chilli sauce that they have there. The veges were really sweet! LOVE it! But I thought the soup would be better if it was some herbal soup.

We welcomed the 2010 in our hotel room munching on peanuts, kuaci, some fish satay I think and glasses of wine while watching some Aaron Kwok concert. The wine went in tough the 1st few sips but eventually turned easier. Hot hot hot... My body felt so hot... Moments later lights off and we went to bed. Memang tak tahan disentuh dan menyentuh :p
