On the New Sim Card

Thursday, April 1, 2010

Life without the device for instant communication has led to many problems. My SE K660i now is just an mp3 player with a few other features such as alarm clock, camera, planner and a phonebook. How is it possible that anyone could work their way in their daily activities without a phone especially now in our sophisticated world where a handphone is a neccessity. It has been 4 days since I had last received any sms. No calls as well. This is painstakingly aweful. With the presentations going on, keeping in touch with my team members is a must to ensure things are going according to plan.

The measures to overcome this disadvantage is of coz to fully utilize all that is remaining. I still have connection to the internet at the library and I can always message dardar so that he could help me send those sms. Given that my coursemates and I attend the same classes, we could always meet up before and after the lectures. Aside from that, I can also rely on my coursemates to send texts too.

4 days has passed. I wonder what would happen to WilliamNYK if he were to be in my shoes since he is a text whore. LOL!

I have to bare it for another 2 more days until I receive my new sim card. But there are certain things that I noticed during this duration. Life now is troublesome but at the same time peaceful. No vibrations. No ringtones. So quiet. It's as if I am in a different land right now. Cut off from the rest of the world. Listening to mp3 without anyone interrupting with those pesky messages.

nowadays i feel uneasy without the phone, worry that family or friends might call me for something important or what. kinda missed those days when the handphone was something too luxurious to be owned :)
